Carting

Carting is as it sounds, attaching a small wheeled vehicle to the dog, and having the dog pull it for a distance. Carting can be used productively (i.e. carrying in the firewood or purely for enjoyment (i.e. basic exercise). While breeds such as the Newfoundland and Bernese Mountain dog are more traditional participants in the pastime, many Alaskan Malamutes excel at carting and with some training have no problem achieving the certificates that could be available to them

The CKC offers the following two titles:
  • DD - Draft Dog
  • DDX - Draft Dog Excellent
